Nativity

Dean went to Israel for work last week and while he was there, took a tour of the Holy Land.

He had a wonderful time and took over 1,000 photos! I can't upload them all here but we put several on FB so if you are interested, head on over.

We all missed him so much and were so happy when we picked him up from the airport.

From the smile on his face, I think he was happy to be home.

He didn't go crazy buying things over there but did bring home this lovely olive wood nativity.

It was hard putting it away until Christmas.....

That nativity set is gorgeous. When we went to Bethlehem to the Church of the Nativity and were standing down below in the manger area where Jesus was born, an Italian tour group all of a sudden burst into song "Away in a Manger" -- my Australian girlfriend was standing there with me, and you should have heard the sound of their voices. Perfection! Away in a Manger in Italian was the most beautiful sound in that moment. :) We were both in tears! Have a great weekend. Tammy
